On my last post concerning the viral marketing campaigns I received an anonymous comment asking why Paramount Pictures would remove the Ethan Haas videos from YouTube if it had nothing to do with the J.J. Abrams project.  I did a little research into what types of things Paramount has their hands in these days.  Surprisingly I found that Paramount has a current deal with Ubisoft to make a Beowulf game, it would stand to reason that this might open up doors for other games.  The company Ubisoft is important because they have been a producer of four out of the eight Myst titles.

Certainly this is still all speculation, but this explanation makes much more sense out of the Ethan Haas sites than any hair brained connection to Cloverfield.  The parallels between the two sites and the original Myst game are uncanny.  The first and most obvious is the puzzles that have been described as Myst like at Ethan Haas Was Right.  Even the use of a unique language falls in line with every game of the Myst series.  The five videos at the end of each puzzle are very similar to those seen in the original Myst game, low quality, grainy, picture going in and out.  Then there is the Ethan Haas Was Wrong Blog disputing everything the other site is saying, in much the same way the two brothers of Myst tried to convince you the other was evil.  Finally there is the apocalyptic scenario that seems effect all of the worlds of Myst.

I am certainly open to the idea that Ethan Haas has something to do with the J.J. Abrams Project, but I fail to see the connection at this point.  Please enlighten me if you have any substantial information...
